Diablo Unbound Brings the Series to the Tabletop in 2027

Diablo: Unbound is a tabletop adaptation of Blizzard’s action RPG series, scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027 from Glass Cannon Unplugged. The game is being crowdfunded on Gamefound ahead of that launch, and the campaign page is already live for followers.

Each hero starts from one of several classes. Players then choose a dungeon, a set of enemies drawn from across the series, and the boss to beat. New skills and gear build the hero up as the run goes, with the boss fight waiting at the end.

The game is a dungeon crawler for one to four players, played with cards, miniatures, and dice across locations taken from the series. Screen Rant calls the game a faithful adaptation of the core experience, and the fuller alternative to the mobile Immortal.

Glass Cannon Unplugged and the Gamefound campaign

Glass Cannon Unplugged developed the game. The studio is behind Dying Light: The Board Game, which recently raised more than $1.5 million on Gamefound. The tabletop game follows the same crowdfunding route, and following the campaign now includes the Gamefound Exclusive Treasure Goblin Expansion at no cost.

The campaign has not opened to the public yet, so copies cannot be backed today. Versions have not been detailed yet, and there will likely be several to choose from when the campaign opens to the public. The game will also be available through retailers when it launches.

Release timing and pricing

The first quarter of 2027 is the target for Diablo: Unbound, which puts it among several new Diablo projects scheduled for that year. Screen Rant notes that Diablo 4 is no longer receiving paid expansions and that Diablo 5 is not due until 2029. Fans have been left in limbo in the meantime.

No price has been announced. Versions are likely to be offered when the campaign opens to the public, and the game will be available through retailers when it launches. For more information, visit Glass Cannon Unplugged’s Diablo: Unbound page.
