The Pokémon Company has revealed the Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection, a boxed product built around a foil promo of the card and 65 Dragon Shield card sleeves, for release on February 12, 2027. The announcement was made on October 29, 2026, and the box also carries eight booster packs and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
What’s inside the box
Every box holds four foil promos. Mega Rayquaza ex is the headliner, and Zinnia’s Trust, Adventure Lantern, and Mega Rayquaza Cap fill out the other three; two more cards combine into a single Legendary Summit Stadium.
The accessories come from Dragon Shield: 65 card sleeves in a thematic box plus a matching deck box.
A plastic Pokémon coin, eight booster packs, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live complete the contents. The Pokémon Company has not said which boosters are inside, so buyers should not assume the packs come from Delta Reign.
A promo printing outside Delta Reign
The promo card carries artwork that does not appear in Delta Reign, the 2026 set headlined by the card. That set includes only the Double Rare and Special Illustration Rare versions, so the box is the route to this particular printing for collectors.
For players, the appeal sits elsewhere. The card has become a staple in Mega Kangaskhan ex decks in Japan, and the collection adds a foil promo printing of it. The sleeves and deck box stay in use whatever the packs hold, which makes the box a promo purchase with accessories attached.
Price and release timing
The Pokémon Company has not announced a price. ICv2 reported on October 30, 2026 that the collection will retail for $49.99. The release date is February 12, 2027, and the box will be available where Pokémon TCG products are sold.
The collection also lands at the end of a crowded stretch for the game. The 30th Celebration set marked the franchise anniversary with reprints of iconic cards, the Day & Night Ultra-Premium Collection arrives on November 6, and Deck Crafter’s Collection boxes debuted on October 22. Earlier in 2026, Ascended Heroes set the record as the largest Pokémon set, while Chaos Rising and Pitch Black built followings of their own. The first 2027 expansion, Flowing Fists, is headlined by Mega Lucario Z ex, and The Pokémon Company teased ex Star cards as a new card type at the 2026 PokémonXP convention.
